The Miami Piano Circle began as a performance and discussion platform for a collective of Miami-based artists. In 2007 Miami Piano Circle’s first series of classical piano performances as a 501c3 was officially launched and has since evolved into established and acclaimed seasons of solo and chamber concerts in South Florida.
We have produced programs such as Carnegie Hall preview performances, annual free Children’s Valentine’s Day concerts, traditional solo and chamber works, premieres of new compositions, and epic 10-piano concerts with lighting design.
Our mission is to produce classical piano music in traditional venues, as well as providing programming at charitable institutions, bringing outstanding performances to all audiences. Since 2007, Miami Piano Circle has held concerts in venues throughout Miami-Dade County such as the New World Center for the Arts, Miami Lighthouse for the Blind, Colony Theatre, Lincoln Theatre, the Steinway Gallery of Coral Gables, the Miami VA Healthcare System, and Barry University’s Shepard & Ruth K. Broad Center for the Perfoming Arts.
Miami Piano Circle has been featured in the Sun-Sentinel, the Miami Herald, the Coral Gables Gazette, the Knight Arts Blog, and the local Channel 10 online news.
Miami Piano Circle’s founding director is Dr. Mia Vassilev.

"Ten Grand Pianos, world-renowned musicians take center stage for extravagant production"
"It will get loud when the group performs composer Wendy Mae Chambers' "10 Grand" at Barry University." -Jaka Cline
A Grand Show!
"[Miami Piano Circle] are among the best pianists in South Florida, busy performers and educators who are well worth hearing on their own. It’s an evocative history lesson, and a great sampling of lighter American music that still speaks with an individual voice." -Gregory Stepanich
"On behalf of the Veterans at the Miami VA Healthcare System I would like to thank you for bringing us an extraordinary performance. Our Veterans truly enjoyed it." -Richard L. Vroman
[Miami Grands] is gentle, tuneful, joyous, playful, and glowing. You could add clangorous, jangling, and especially, like the name of the record label, ecstatic. There aren’t that many pieces in our time that consistently boast my list of descriptors. ...these are truly masterly pieces...an inspired pleasure. -Allen Gimbel, American Record Guide
